Heavy Metal band Bad Wolves formed in Los Angeles, California in 2017. Founded by vocalist Tommy Vext (Divine Heresy / Westfield Massacre), guitarists Doc Coyle (God Forbid) and Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead / For the Fallen Dreams), bassist Kyle Konkiel (In This Moment / Scar the Martyr), and drummer John Boecklin (DevilDriver), the group were initially brought together to perform music that Boecklin had been writing since 2014. The group released the singles “Learn to Live” and “Toast to the Ghost” in 2017 in preparation for the release of their debut album. The group came to international prominence in early 2018 when they released their cover version of The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” which climbed to #23 on the Billboard 200.

In the summer of 2018, Bad Wolves released their debut album, DISOBEY. The group supported the album with high profile tours with bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and others. In a short amount of time, they had become one of Heavy Metal’s most lauded bands. Their second album, N.A.T.I.O.N., was released towards the end of 2019 and included the singles “I’ll Be There,” “Killing Me Slowly,” “Sober,” and “Crying Game.” However, in the midst of recording their third album, vocalist Tommy Vext left the band and was replaced by Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz (The Acacia Strain). The group went back to write new material for their next album, DEAR MONSTERS, which was released in 2021. Founding member Chris Cain left the band in 2022 and Max Karon became their rhythm guitarist before leaving the following year and allowing vocalist Laskiewicz to play guitar again.

Bad Wolves return in 2023 with their fourth album, DIE ABOUT IT, their second with vocalist Laskiewicz and their first as a quartet. Featuring the singles “Legends Never Die,” “Bad Friend,” “Savior,” and the title track, DIE ABOUT IT is an album that hits you with a punching metallic force but sweetens the blows with some catchy melodies that will get stuck in your head before you are beaten to an emotional pulp. This is modern Metal that surges like a tsunami and crashes down upon the shore with a force that will shake the earth to its core. However, the melodic hooks still shine through. In the end, Bad Wolves is a group that has been through several changes over the years but, like a Timex, they take a licking and keep on ticking!
